So….we were discussing old bands and reliving rock concerts… Here’s a pic from 1977, on the way to see Bad Company in Jacksonville, Florida.
My first rock concert was KISS, December 10, 1976, backup band, Uriah Heep. My BFF Libby here, still has our ticket stubs. 😀
What was yours???
My first concert was in 1981 when Cheap Trick played at Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University).

I can’t remember the first one I went to to listen, cause as a musician since 11, I was doing roady work for small venues even at 12 (Dad knew, Mom didn’t, hehe)
I would think April Wine, probably yes, in 1973 or 4. Oh memories… haha

😀 Kansas City, 1985
We met their roadies in an elevator and got to visit their penthouse suite, got handed free front row tickets, a trip backstage, and a party afterwards with ice filled tub full of champagne. My friend Tracey was a huge flirt. 😉
#TrueStory John Oates complimented me on my silk capri jumpsuit.

The Outlaws! I think they were backup band for one of the concerts I saw back in the day, Dee D . If it was the Mob Rules Tour, it was 81/82. Black Sabbath is one I wish I’d seen back in the day.
And if my mother knew what KISS was all about, I’m certain I wouldn’t have been allowed to go, either. lol

BobbieZen my older brother of 18. He won tickets, and last minute, his friend couldn’t go. I was a long haired, headbanging little “hessian” as they were called, before I got swept up in grunge, and so I got to go. Fit right in even… Though I feel asleep half way through Motley Crew’s set!

BobbieZen I’ll add that one of the few things I remember from that concert was Tommy Lee’s spinning drum solo. What a mind blower that was at ten, and before YouTube!
