First Loves
When my father-in-law Vic was just a little boy, a Ford Trimotor came in for an emergency landing in the mining town of Iron River, Michigan. He remembers rushing out to the landing site with his family to see what the commotion was all about… and got a good look at his very first airplane. He has been an Aviation buff ever since.
Today… After a long wait and some technical difficulties with the brakes, he got to go up for an airplane ride in a Ford Trimotor, his first love… I just love the smile on his face!
Brief video footage posted in the comments…
The Ford Trimotor is an American three-engined transport aircraft. Production started in 1925 by the companies of Henry Ford and ended on June 7, 1933. A total of 199 Ford Trimotors were made.
That’s awesome!
