And then there were two…
And then there were two…
This pair of owlets had said goodbye to #3 on Saturday when I went back to check on them…On Monday, there was only one left…and today, they’ve flown off from the comfort of their nesting area to places unknown.
It was certainly nice to be in their presence while I could…Amazing creatures.
“A wise old owl sat on an oak; The more he saw the less he spoke; The less he spoke the more he heard; Why aren’t we like that wise old bird?”

Thanks you guys! And yes, it was DARK and nearing noon…moments after this shot, we had a freak hail/snowstorm….and because of the wind, no tripod this time…so there was plenty of other shots that came out very blurry due to hand shake, sandy vetter . The previous shots I took last week I used the tripod…but the sun has not shone on us for quite some time here.
And…I’m just about OVER it. I gotta have some Sunshine. Soon.
