We’re staying north of Cody, 10 miles from the Montana border, in Clark. I’ll be out exploring this week, so I’ll let you know, William Parmley. 🙂
BobbieZen Well, you’re probably going the wrong direction in your travels now, but if you get anywhere near Lemhi Pass, it is a fantastic experience.  The road is a gentle slope up, and you can just imagine Meriwether Lewis’s thoughts as he came up, thinking he had found an easy route west.  And then you crest and all you see ahead is mountains upon mountains upon mountains.  Get there and find a sign saying “No trailers beyond this point” — NOW you tell me!  Stand astride the headwaters of the mighty Missouri River.  I still have a sealed bottle of water that I collected there.  Sorry to ramble; your trip is bringing back my own memories.  🙂
Oh, you’re going every place I’ve ever been, BobbieZen! Â I’ll bet you saw Saddle Mountain when you were in Howe. Â On a clear day you can see the Grand Teton from out in the desert around Howe — over 100 miles line of sight.
Heh, Been there hundreds of times. Â What in the name of all the happy dancing gods are you doing in Clark? Â There’s nothing there! Â Well, a fish hatchery….
I grew up in Red Lodge, you should swing through there, if you’ve got a little time. Â Worth a day anyway.
good work

Been there too! Â As I recall, there’s a ghost town near there. Â Or was it an old movie set? Â Been too long ago.
