On Seeing

Silene vulgaris, the bladder campion or maidenstears, is a plant species of the genus Silene of the pink family (Caryophyllaceae). It is native to Europe, and also widespread in North America, where it is a common wildflower in meadows, open woods, and fields, and in this case, found on the dunes of Lake Michigan.
Bobbie Dee,As the song says, “There is none so blind as he who will not see.” My Dad gave me the gift of observation. As a self-employed carpenter and father of six (I am the oldest), he was always looking for the next job. His strength was that he always saw beyond the job to the people needing the work done. He passed in 2013 at 89, but people still come in the shop asking or talking about him. You have that effect on people. Randy
