    I’m certain there are many of these old signs still left up on buildings, like yours G Hartman but I was surprised to find this one in the little almost ghost town of Iron River Michigan.

  2. The ‘twelve o’clock siren’ was every weekday when I grew up, but is now only on Tuesdays, with a city-wide speaker system that broadcasts instructions in English, Chinese, and Spanish.

  3. Interesting, I suppose the pool salesman change of wares was a sign of the times Bill Hewitt !
    That little ditty is a new one on me William Parmley , now I’ll have to Google it because my curiosity is peaked!
