We had another death in the family…it wasn’t entirely unexpected and in fact it’s a blessing that the suffering is over.  Gets you thinking, though…about what’s IMPORTANT.

Goodnight Geeps.
Sweet Dreams.

  1. Thank you all for your concern…it affects  my dear aunt most personally. It was the passing of her husband in his early 80’s…Up until the past year, He’d lived life FULLY, traveling abroad, staying active in his community, attending club gatherings, social outings with friends, and keeping my Aunt happy.
Recently he became increasingly affected with dementia, then diagnosed as Alzheimers.  The past few months have been very difficult for all involved, and he’s in reality been ‘gone’ from us for some time, until he passed Thursday night.  Aunt Gayle also lost a son and daughter last year, both cousins my age.  Prior to that she’d lost two other sons,….all unexpected, and all quite tragic. While caring for her husband who had taken ill, she’s not yet been able to fully grieve the loss of her children from last year.
She’s the one who I’m sending these condolences to.
But that’s what got me thinking most.  One passing brings up the memories of others lost, and the realities of the uncertainty of our time here, and it reminds me to ‘enjoy every sandwich’, to treat others well, and to appreciate the time we do have with our loved ones.
That, and to keep smiling and laugh every day.

🙂  You’ve got the right idea there, Scott Armstrong !
