My 88year old Dad, and Sean Heffernan encouraged me to get moving …I just went out and purchased this used apparatus as step 1.
Now to figure out how to hook my bike up to it, lol.

  1. Yeah Bobbie… Take the bike outside for a ride… What’s a few subzero temperatures and piles of snow to deal with? Just think… If you don’t freeze to death in January, you’ll have nice black bruises from slipping on the ice by March.

Lol, y’all are funny… I’ve actually been out on a bike ride outside this afternoon. Unfortunately, those days won’t last much longer hence the need for winter indoor riding.

  3. I used to live near Plainfield, so I know what you mean.  I used to ride but haven’t in a long time.  I still have a wind trainer packed away.  (Wish I had known you were looking for one!)  Never could get used to it but I probably didn’t give it a fair try.  Of course, I probably can’t still fit into the same “dress” after 32 years, either.    😉

  4. lol, William Parmley ….I videoed my Dad on his trainer this weekend…after seeing him breeze through, I was hooked.  No more procrastinating.  I’ve been “thinking about” this for months.  Got er DUN today!

  5. BobbieZen Now that I think about it, one of my biggest complaints about my wind trainer was the noise, not only from the bicycle/trainer combination but also the fan that you will need to run to keep yourself cool.  Of course, we didn’t have all the entertainment options and devices “way back then,” so besides more choices of content, that gives you the flexibility to set up in more places in the house.  You can always pick up a set of noise-cancelling headphones if you need them.  Have fun!
