Fractured Fairy Tales
Fractured Fairy Tales
Once upon a time, waking up early in anticipation of sitting cross legged on the floor in front of a rabbit eared black and white television to watch the Roadrunner, Bugs Bunny, Snidely Whiplash, and Scooby Doo while still in our Jammie’s eating pop tarts was all the rage. I’d race into my brothers bedroom and exclaim, WAKE UP!!! It’s CARTOON day!
These days with cable and Cartoon Network you can catch your favorite animated shows 24/7…. But the nostalgic among us remember a time when cartoons weren’t a la carte — and Saturday mornings were sacred.
Those were the days! Dudley Do-Right and Bullwinkle. I also enjoyed Sunday when they showed The Three Stooges, Charlie Chan and Laurel and Hardy. :))

It was our time to relax. No chores, no school work, no rehearsals, no demands on our time. I even watched stuff that wasn’t my fave just to have the time!
I loved all the Bugs Bunny’s that were operas!

As a matter of fact I think that’s totally cool Donna McClure! Do you happen to remember the names of any of the regular shows you would listen to?

I remember some but they may not have all been on Saturday morning. Fiber McGe (sp?) & Molly, some of them were a continuing, on going mystery, the Lone Ranger, can’t think of any others at the moment.
